We booked with Halesi Treks a six-day Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek and private transfers from Kathmandu to Pokhara and the return. Our guide (Tek), our porter (Yam), and the main point of contact (Man Kumar) were all great! We were particularly impressed by how our guide Tek paced our trek ("slowly, slowly" he says) so we ended up taking fewer breaks than we usually do when we hike, which was a pleasant surprise. Tek and Yam also went out of their ways to make us feel comfortable in the tea houses where we stayed the nights; for example, Yam often went ahead of us to find a room so we can just go directly to the room. The apples that Tek brought us for desserts were also nice touches, as the fruits seemed to be limited in the ABC trek. Tek is a bit on the quieter side (so don't expect elaborate story-telling), but that actually matched our personalities and we appreciated the calmness and the meditation-like experience. Man Kumar, our point of contact in WhatsApp as well as the company owner, were also solid with communications, taking care of our questions before our trip to Nepal. We even met him twice in our stay in Nepal: once in Pokhara and the other time in Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, we even had a meal together, which was much appreciated. We can tell that he genuinely wanted us to feel welcomed and enjoy our times in Nepal. We are overall very satisfied with the trek and the private transfers provided by Halesi. We would look up Halesi or contact Man Kumar again if we return to Nepal.

We were all impressed by the astonishing Poon Hill + ABC sceneries and thank you once again for the professional guiding and hosting of the trip by our guide Man Kumar Tamang. He is a seasoned trip organizer who perfectly arranged the overall itinerary, hostility, food, and beverage for us and make this remarkable. We will definitely come back for another route later

It is my first ever trekking trip and the ABC route is challenging yet stunning. We started our tour in late March, with slight showers in the afternoon and snow up in the base camp. The view is absolutely breathtaking and I recommend everyone to visit it at least once in a lifetime. Nonetheless, we are happy to have Man Kumar as our guide, who is cheerful, friendly, and experienced. The itinerary, accommodations, and food are all well arranged;) Will surely come back! On a side note, remember to train yourself up a bit before the trip for an easier life haha

I went climbing the Mardi Himal trek as my first experience of properly climbing a mountain and it was awesome! The trek offered beautiful views along the way as well as the top. A truly amazing lifetime experience! And honestly makes me wanna explore more treks. I also went for Chitwan Jeep and river safaris after the climb. We were lucky we got to see many animals in their natural habitat, such as wild rhinos, bears, deer, and crocodiles. It was a great experience too! Props to Halesi Treks as our local guide for arranging both trips and assistance during the trip. The team from Halesi are very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable in facing the terrain in the mountain. Looking forward to another trip and thank you!

This was actually my very first experience to climb a mountain. Previously I was only go one-day-trekking in Indonesia, but then I was doing mountain trekking for 5 straight days, moreover it was in Nepal! Mardi Himal is really a hidden treasure. It is a less popular trekking route compared to ABC (Annapurna Base Camp) or Annapurna Circuit, but it didn't disappoint at all. You can get views without the crowds. Stunning forests and rhododendron blooming along the way, and expect magnificent views of the Annapurna Mountain Range, including the fishtail of Macchapucchre peak! Even more unforgettable were all the wonderful guides that helped make this experience come to life. Special shoutout to HALESI TREKS who did very well in guiding us. With Dai (Brother) Man Kumar as the guide and two porters (Dai Jangbu & Yam), we got very enjoyable journey. They were so nice and helpful and always ready to assist us. They waited patiently when we needed to stop to catch our breath, and they were in tune with our needs the entire time. Doing the Mardi Himal Trek can be a challenge, but I'm sure everybody can do it as long as you are fit enough. The difficulty level is easy to moderate, so it's a beginner-friendly trek route. Even some elderly people went there, so you can do it too! 3,5 days going up and 1,5 days going down was not difficult compared to the worthy experience and majestic views. I truly recommend it!
