Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu, our representative will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to a hotel in Kathmandu. You can stroll around the city in the evening and stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Free day in  Kathmandu - Sightseeing and Preparation

We have a free day on our hand in Kathmandu. You can stroll around the city and go shopping for the gears and equipment required for the trek. Moreover, you can complete the paperwork and get the required permits for the trek. Alternatively, if you are well prepared for the trek, you can go on a sightseeing tour in the ancient city. 

The mystical Kathmandu valley is famous for its cultural heritage and landmarks. UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square, are the famous landmarks of the city.

After breakfast, we start our drive from Kathmandu to SyabruBesi. You can either take a public bus or a private jeep. The 122 kilometers drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi takes around 6-7 hours to complete. 

The exciting ride moves alongside hilly landscapes, cliff edges, and overlooking the snow-capped mountains. We explore around and stay overnight at a hotel in Syabru Besi.

Day 04: Trek from Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel 

Maximum Altitude: Lama Hotel (2748 m)

Trek Duration: 5 hours 30 minutes

After breakfast, we will start our trek to Lama Hotel. We move through the entrance of Langtang National park, where we show our permit and complete the formalities. We pass through the popular Tamang heritage trail in the premises of the Langtang National Park.

The trek today covers a distance of 11.3 kilometers. We cross the pristine Bhote Koshi river via a suspension bridge. The trail then moves along the banks of the Langtang Khola. We move along the easy trail gradually passing by the settlements of Mundu, Ghode Tabela, and Gumna Chowk. After arriving at the Lama hotel, we explore around and stay overnight. 

Day 05: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley

Maximum Altitude: Langtang Valley (3500 m)

Trek Duration: 5 hours

After breakfast, we start our trek from Lama Hotel to the beautiful Langtang valley. The 14.8 kilometers trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang valley takes around 5 hours. The steep trail passes through lush alpine forests of rhododendrons, hemlock, oak, and maple trees. 

We continue our trek overlooking the Mount Langtang Lirung. The trek then takes us to the green and vast meadows towards Ghode Tabela. We will explore the beautiful Tamang settlements and the beautiful flat-roofed houses. You can also observe the stone walls with many crops, including buckwheat, potatoes, wheat, barley, and other vegetables. We stay overnight at a teahouse in Langtang. 

Day 06: Trek from Langtang Valley to Kyanjin Gompa

Maximum Altitude: Kyanjin Gompa (3870 m)

Trek Duration: 5 hours 30 minutes

After breakfast, we start our trek from Langtang valley to Kyanjin Gompa. The beautiful section of the Langtang Gosaikunda trek itinerary will spellbind you. The 6.8 kilometers trek from Langtang valley to Kyanjin Gompa takes around 5 hours 30 minutes. You can observe a lot of mani walls, chortens, and colorful prayer flags along the trail.

Trek Duration: 4 to 5 hrs

After breakfast, we start our trek to Lama Hotel from Kyanjin. We will cover the total distance of 21.6 kilometers on this trek. We also enjoy the view of the snow-capped Himalayas and the Langtang Khola from this beautiful trail. We arrive at the Lama Hotel after a trek of a few hours and stay overnight.

Day 08: Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru

Maximum Altitude: Thulo Syabru (2000 m)

Trek Duration: 5 hrs

After breakfast, we start our trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru. We descend to Pairo towards a river as the trail ascents towards Thulo Syabru. The beautiful and scenic trail passes through Tamang villages. 

The unique culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the place are enchanting. Besides that, the views of the entire Langtang Himalayan range will spellbind you. We also walk through the pines and Junipers forest, as we observe the rare wild animals and birds, including the Red Pandas. We stay overnight at a teahouse in Thulo Syabru. 

Day 09: Trek from Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa

Maximum Altitude: Shin Gompa (3330 m)

Trek Duration: 4 to 5 hrs

After breakfast, we start our trek from Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa as we pass through the Dimsa village in Langtang. We then resume the trail to Durdagang and then make our way to Foprang Danda (3200 m). 

The trail passes through the lush jungles of rhododendron, oak, and hemlock trees. The magnificent views of the mountains, including the Langtang Himal and Ganesh Himal, is enchanting. We then hike towards the Foprang Danda and later arrive at Shin Gompa. 

There is also a local cheese factory where you can taste the cheese products. Besides that, the local Buddhist Monastery at Sing Gompa is another highlight of the trek. We stay overnight at a local teahouse. 

Day 10: Trek from Sing Gompa to Laurebina Yak

Maximum Altitude: Laurebina Yak (3920 m)

Trek Duration: 4 to 5 hrs

After breakfast, we start our trek from Shin Gompa to Laurebina yak. The trail moves to the Chalang Pati viewpoint from where we can observe the snow-capped mountains, including Mt. Langtang Lirung and other Tibetan mountains. 

We walk through the forests of rhododendron and pine trees before arriving at the Laurebina Yak. The diverse trail also has rare wildlife and vegetation, including red pandas. We stay overnight at a teahouse in Laurebina yak.

Day 11: Trek from Laurebina Yak - Gosaikunda

Maximum Altitude: Gosaikunda Lake (4460 m)

Trek Duration: 4 hours

The Laurebina Yak to Gosaikunda is a challenging part of the Langtang Gosaikunda trek itinerary. The word Lauribina constituting of two words; ‘Lauri’ meaning a stick and ‘Bina’ means without. Hence, the locals believe that the trek is impossible without the help of a stick. 

Moreover, we will walk across the beautiful temple with a statue of Sakyamuni. You can observe the incredible views of Saraswati Kunda, Bhairav Kunda, from the top. We arrive at the Gosaikunda lake after a trek of a few hours.

Day 12: Trek from Gosaikunda to Gopte

Maximum Altitude: Gopte (3440 m)

Trek Duration: 6 to 7 hours

After an early breakfast, we explore the majestic lake of Gosaikunda. The trail today is tough, and you need strong determination to complete the trek. Our journey starts with a sharp uphill climb over the rugged moraines. 

We can observe three small lakes before crossing the Lauri Bina pass (4609 m). The trail then moves to Phedi and then we cross the rocky hills and pine forests to arrive at Gopte. We stay overnight at a teahouse in Gopte.

Day 13: Trek from Gopte to Tharepati

Maximum Altitude: Tharepati (3640 m)

Trek Duration: 5 to 6 hours

After breakfast, we start our trek to Tharepati from Gopte. The trail descends gradually before ascending and descending at several intervals. You need to be careful while trekking in this section as the trails are quite tough. Lastly, we ascend to Tharepati after a trek of a few hours. We stay overnight at a lodge in Tharepati.

Day 14: Trek from Tharepati to Gul Bhanjyang

Maximum Altitude: Gul Bhanjyang (2140 m)

Trek Duration: 5 hrs

After breakfast, we start our trek to the Gul Bhnajyang from Tharepati, passing by the forested trails. We also pass through the pristine Shivapuri National park, where you can observe rare wildlife and animals and birds. 

From Tharepati, we walk along with the aroma of nature and arrive at Magen Goth (3420 m). We continue our trek to Panghu, passing by incredible Himalayan vista and green landscapes. We finally arrive at Gul Bhanjyang after a trek of a few hours and stay overnight.

Day 15: Trek from Gul Bhanjyang to Chisopani

Maximum Altitude: Chisopani (2134 m)

Trek Duration: 5 to 6 hrs

After breakfast, we start our trek through some of the most beautiful landscapes and green vegetation. The forested trail then ascends to Thodang Betini (2260 m). We then walk gradually to arrive at Chipling from where we descend to Pati Bhanjyang (1860 m).

We will arrive at Chisopani after a trek of a few hours. The incredible view of the sunrise from Chisapani is the highlight of the trek. We stay overnight at a lodge in Chisapani.

Day 16: Trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal and Drive back to Kathmandu

Maximum Altitude: Sundarijal (1300 m) 

Trek Duration: 4 to 5 hours

Drive Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

After breakfast, we start our trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal. The trail then passes through the pristine forest of the Shivapuri National Park. You can also spot some rare wild animals and birds along the trek. We arrive at Sundarijal after a trek of a few hours. 

Our beautiful trek comes to an official end in Sundari Jal and we take a short drive to Kathmandu. We can either take the local bus or private vehicle to Kathmandu for a one and a half hours’ drive.
