Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is an off- the-beaten-path trek around Mt. Dhaulagiri. Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m) is the seventh tallest mountain in the world. You will begin your Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek by Halesi Treks from Pokhara. You will continue your journey along the Myagdi Khola (854m) to the Chhonbardan Glacier. On this particular day, you will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu(1400m). Representative staff from Halesi Treks will heartily welcome you. You will drive to the hotel shortly after. You will register yourself in the hotel and check into your room. After you freshen up, the trek leader will give you a short briefing for the trekking program. You will enjoy a pleasant meal with your trek team. You will stay for the night at the hotel.

The very next day, you will take part in a short detour in Kathmandu valley. You will go for Sightseeing of World heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar square, Swayambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa & Pashupatinath Temple. You will get an opportunity to explore the ancient culture and tradition embodied in those Heritage sites. Taking a casual stroll past the Monkey temple (Swayambhunath Temple) is always peaceful. After the detour, you will come back to the Hotel. You will enjoy a pleasant meal and prepare for the journey ahead.

You will enjoy the early morning breakfast. After breakfast, you will hop on a jeep or a guided tourist bus to Pokhara. You will have your lunch at Malekhu. After 6 hours of drive, you will finally arrive at Pokhara. The journey from Pokhara is certainly picturesque. You will witness Nayapul, Naudanda, Hangza, kusma with views of Annapurna South and Fishtail. You will get to see green hills, terraces and villages at Beni. This is one of the picturesque road journeys. You will finally arrive at Beni (850m) after 3 hours of drive from Pokhara(910m). You will stay for the night at Beni Hotel/Camp.

Today, the trek starts from Beni. You will be heading towards Babiyachaur. Rough rubbles cover the trail leading to Babiyachaur. You will hike for 5 hours through this trail. Your hike will continue uphill gradually as you ascend through the terrains. It is possible to ignore the hassle as you can drive to Babiachor. You will set up camp at Babiyachaur (950m) and you will stay for the night here.

After breakfast, you will continue the hike through the ascending terrains. You will pass through a jungle full of oaks and rhododendron at the start of the trek. The hike gets easier and gentle afterward. The trail continues to flat lands passing many streams. You will hike in the muddy road in most of the places. You will finally arrive at Dharapani (1400m) after 6 hours of hiking. You will set up camp at Dharapani and spend your night in the camp.

Your trek will continue to ascend further from here. After a proper breakfast, you will hike towards Muri situated at an elevation of 1,850 meters. You will ascend through the steep terrains for 5 to 6 hours. As you walk through the trail, you can perceive Mount Dhaulagiri. You will hike along the flatlands and through jungles blooming with Rhododendrons. You will finally arrive at Muri (1800m) after five hours of hiking. You stay for the night at a camp in Muri.

The trail to Boghara is easy for a few hours. You will descend through the terrains at the start of your trek. Before you reach to Boghara, the trail goes through a steep path for a couple of hours. You will hike for 4/5 hours today. You will pass Phedi as you continue your descent down. You will finally arrive at Boghara (2080m) after a steep climb. You set camp here for the night.

Most of the part of the trek, you will cross through dense forest and rocky terrains. Finally, you cross a stream and arrive at Choriban Khola(3110m). You will enjoy a full board meal after 5 hours of trek. You rest for the night at tented camp.

You will start your trek early in the morning. You will have a pleasant breakfast on the misty morning of Dobang. After breakfast, you cross a wooden bridge out of Dobang. Your hike will continue to ascend through a forest area. You will start to visualize the west face of Dhaulagiri I (8167 meters) through the breaks in the trees.

You will make a descend to Myagdi Khola. The trail follows a path across the wooden bridge to Chartare. Most of the part of the trek, you will cross through dense forest and rocky terrains. Finally, you cross a stream and arrive at Choriban Khola(3110m). You will enjoy a full board meal after 5 hours of trek. You rest for the night at tented camp.

You enjoy a pleasant breakfast at the camp early in the morning. The trail follows to terminal moraine of the Chhonbarban Glacier. You will enter the glacier from the right. As you continue through the trek Tukuche Peak (6837 meters) becomes visible. The trail ahead is home to the impressive views of Dhaulagiri I (8167 meters).

After 7 hours of hike, you will reach the Italian Base Camp (3660 meters). Italian Base Camp is the site of your camp for the night. You will enjoy a splendid view of Dhaulagiri II (7751 meters), Dhaulagiri III (7715 meters) and Dhaulagiri V (7618 meters) from camp.

Today is the first day of our acclimatization day. You will explore around the Italian Base Camp. You will adjust to the thinner air of the region. You spend an entire day acclimatizing to the high altitude. It is necessary for your body to tune for the higher altitude to come. You stay overnight at tented camp at the Italian Base Camp.

    You will need the help of rope for the trail ahead to Glacier camp. After following the trail ahead for 4 hours, you will arrive onto the main glacier. It is necessary to use in a couple of tricky spots. You climb onto the main glacier. You will use a rope to climb to reach the top of the glacier. The rough and dangerous trail is worth it, you will have spectacular views of Mt. Dhaulagiri. You will set camp on the glacier rubble of Glacier camp (4210m). You will spend 6 hours trekking through the icy terrains of Dhaulagiri region.

    After a hearty warm breakfast at the Camp, you will head out for the trek ahead. The trail starts to get smooth after five hours of hiking. You make your way up to the chilling but splendid Dhaulagiri Base Camp. You will stay for the night in Dhaulagiri Base camp. It takes 7 hours of an adventurous hike to arrive at Dhaulagiri Base Camp(4740m). You will be able to see impressive views of Dhaulagiri II (7751 meters), Dhaulagiri III (7715 meters) and Dhaulagiri V (7618 meters). Views of the majestic icefall that descends from the northeast is also visible.

    This will be your second acclimatization in Dhaulagiri Circuit trek. You will explore around Dhaulagiri base Camp and save energy for days ahead. You enjoy a delicate meal in the Dhaulagiri Base Camp. You spend the night at the tented camp.

    You will continue your hike to Hidden valley today. You will climb two terraced hills, the first of runs along the glacier. You will follow the path to enter a gentle incline on the left from an ablation valley. You will climb this gentle slope to the French Pass (5360 meters). As the trail leads through French Pass, you will witness the majestic Sita Chuchura (6611 meters), Mukut Himal (6328 meters) and Tashi Kang (6386 meters).

    The majestic mountains surround the Hidden Valley. You will follow the trail from French Pass along the right edge of the Hidden Valley. You will Descend through Thapa Pass and set camp at 5200 meters. You will hike a total of 6 hours to reach Hidden Valley. You will enjoy a full board meal and rest for the night at camp.

    Today, you will start your trek to Yak Kharka. Yak Kharka is also known as Alu Bari. You will appreciate the surrounding views and cross Dhampus pass(5200m). You spend 5 to 6 hours on today’s trek. You will arrive at a perfect campsite in Yak Kharka(3680m). You enjoy the pleasant meal and spend the night at tented camp.

    On today’s trek, you will descend to the village of Marpha. Marpha village is famous for food products made from fruit. You will taste the exquisite taste and flavor of Apple Brandy. Apple Brandy is a local specialty of Marpha Village(2650m). You will Continue north; the trail passes along the river valley to the town of Jomsom. You arrive at Jomsom (2710m) after 5 hours of a trek from Yak Kharka. You spend the night at tented camp.

    You wake up early in the morning and catch a flight to Pokhara from Jomsom. It takes half an hour worth of scenic mountain flight to reach Pokhara. You will arrive at the spectacular city lake, Pokhara(910m). You will wander around the streets of Pokhara for souvenirs. The boat ride in the Phewa lake provides a spectacular view of Machhapuchhre. You will experience serenity and peace as you stroll pass lakeside late in the evening. You go back to your Hotel for a pleasant late-night dinner. You will rest from the exhausting trek in your hotel room.

    You will enjoy a delicate breakfast early in the morning. You will pack your luggage to check out from the Hotel. You will load your belonging on the bus. You will engage yourself in a scenic 6-hour drive to Kathmandu. You will observe the pictorial scene of the suburban areas along the road. The road follows the calm trishuli most of the way. Finally, you will arrive at Kathmandu and you will check into the hotel. You enjoy the farewell dinner with your Expedition crew. You reminisce the moment with the trek members. You stay for the night in the hotel.

    This is the final day of your journey, you will depart from Kathmandu. The representative from Halesi Trek will pick you from the Hotel and escort you to the Tribhuvan International Airport. The representative will wish you a safe return to your home country. Finally, you bid farewell to the personnel from the agency and leave for your flight.
