Tilicho peak (7134m/23,406ft) Expedition is one of the more attractive 7000m expeditions in Annapurna region.this attractive place will capture your attention. The Peak was first climbed in 1978 when Mr. Emanuel Schmutz  from a French expedition reachedthe top of the peak. Mr. Schmutz summited the peak from the North West shoulder which has now become the normal climbing route by the government of Nepal and the Department of Tourism. Tilicho Peak is the highest point of the Great Barrier which links Khangsar Kang (7458m) and Nilgiri North (7061m) together. Tilicho Peak is a mountain in the Nepalese Himalaya, near Annapurna. The peak was discovered in 1950 by a team led by Maurice Herzog who was attempting to find Annapurna I.

The best climbing season in Nepal is March – May (spring) and October – November (autumn). However, summer is probably the best time to visit Tilicho Lake because the weather is considerably warmer and the trail is easier. The base camp is set up around the height of 4800m/15,748ft. Which is located at the foot of Tilicho Peak. The peak towers 2300m above the shore of the spectacular Lake Tilicho. This is the primary water source for the expedition. The climb is very straightforward, from the base camp you climb to camp I (5800m/19,028ft) located on a shelf below the Northwest shoulder along on a 45deg mixed rock and ice section that extends for 600m/1,968ft. The following day you move along a 50deg/650m snowfield to Camp II (6200m/20,341ft) located on the shoulder. Your third day will be a true summit push.Halesi Treks Climbing Sherpa guide team and climbers climb to Camp I, Camp II and push for the summit along the Northwest shoulder up a 50-60deg 750-850m snowfield but very low exposure due to a very wide shoulder.
